Sam Edelman Shoes Haul!

So i’m a little behind with my posts.. but I thought I better step on it to share this with you guys while the sale is still going on!

I’m a frequent WINDOW shopper at Lord & Taylor ^^;; (always eyeing those promotions) and when there is a big one! i jump on it!  here is what i got!

IMG_0887the Alvin Leopard Flats

i LOVE these!  these aren’t the biggest seller compared to the others— but I personally adore them.  i don’t often wear wild patterns like this so for me this is a very exciting change!  this will spike up any simple outfit!  SeeEEeeee~ ❤

IMG_1932last i checked, these are still available on Lordandtaylor.com (http://www.lordandtaylor.com/eng/shoes-Flats-Alvin_Leopard_Loafers-lordandtaylor/226803) — with the additional 20% off, i highly urge you to get them now before they run out!

IMG_0880IMG_0879

the Aster flats in black with a gun-metal cap toe

same shoe as the first one, but in the cap toe style!  made in snake skin– it’s true! none of that fake, embossed stuff, it’s the real thing! lol these are definitely worth the buck.  I took a 2nd shot in the natural light so you can see a better comparison between the black and the shiny cap toe 🙂 love love love!

IMG_1812

this is a picture i took when i first got it via Instagram!  absolutely love the fit, the look, everything! they are very comfy and give the chic yet relaxed feel.  Perfect for the spring!  btw, if anyone is interested, feel free to follow me on Instagram: kelzchan 🙂  I usually just post a lot of random shots of food.. goodies.. shopping.. you know the girlie stuff haha

ok the next one gave me goose bumps when i ordered them online~ these are soo hot and sexy!

IMG_0883IMG_0885

Pryce heels with spikes on the back (probably not the greatest idea to take a picture black on black… whoops!)

Another awesome find on Lord & Taylor’s site!  From original RSP of $200, these got knocked down to $60! I couldn’t resist!  I love ankle strapped heels!  and these resemble jimmy choos a little too… soooOOoo yep.  they got me.  ^^;;

IMG_1923IMG_1926IMG_1922

I have to say these shoes are definitely not for everyone.. the fit is a little funky.  I’m normally a 7.5 for heels– so that’s what i ordered.  but when i tried it on, it was awful! the straps were too loose.. if i tighten it, then it creates this strap bump else where.. i was so sad.  but i decided to give the size 7 a try (had to place another order).  Luckily, these worked out ok!  So it’s a pair that you definitely have to try on to see whether it works on your feet or not.  this is the first time in my life! where i had to choose a size 7 instead of a 7.5— strange, but hey it works!  the peep toe gives it a little extra room for the toesies to breath too~

last pair~!! (i know– more?! lol)

IMG_0876IMG_0877

Jordie ballerina flats with a gold cap toe

back to more flats— honestly, can one have too many pairs of flats?! lol they’re so versatile and needed on a everyday basis, i decided to stock up!  a fabulous price too! these are slightly cheaper than the loafers — $40 after discount.  unfortunately, L&T is out of this combo, but the leopard with a silver cap toe is still available~ (http://www.lordandtaylor.com/eng/shoes-viewallshoes-Jordie_Animal_Print_Ballet_Flats-lordandtaylor/227405)  same as the Aster loafers, they’re snake skin with a metal cap toe– this one is in gold (the 2nd pic you can see the difference a little better)  oh! i did forget to mention that all these flats do have a light padding on the sole to give that extra comfort. :3  again, i highly recommend!  super versatile!

so that sums it up! now go out there and hit those sales!

Recent buys (BCBG & ZARA)

IMG_0826

Sooo many sales around these days with every store trying to get rid of last year’s inventory… it’s so difficult not to buy stuff >x< #firstworldproblems Anyways, recently I made couple purchases from some of my favorite places~

IMG_1706

Combo 1 – Zara top with studs at shoulder ($39.99) with BCBG mini skirt ($44.16)

how can you not shop Zara’s semi annual sale?! though, I have to say.. I like this shirt a lot.. but I’m not sure it’s worth $40… and as you can see, the tag is still on it JUST in case I change my mind about keeping it ^^;;

as for the skirt, I bought this at Lord and Taylor— 60% with an additional 20% off!!! (just FYI, the additional 20% is only available in stores) what an amazing discount!  this is the 4th BCBG “Silvie” skirt I own.  I just LOVE the fit!  I got 2 previously from Black Friday and I’ve already worn the green couple of times~ absolutely in love! so versatile– you can dress up or down.  So this time I got the orange.. it’s harder to wear in the winter, but it’ll be perfect for the summer 🙂

IMG_1707here’s the look of the shirt un-tugged.

IMG_1711Combo 2 – Zara Blazer (tux lapel with peplum) ($39.99) and skirt

This jacket is so adorable!  It pinches at the waist and flares out.  Very unique~ Normally, i wear an XS at Zara but this blazer is very snug, so I was able to make the S work.  Again, I had to put my hand behind my back to hide the fact that the tag is still attached to the jacket ^^;;

IMG_1713

close up look ^^^ (me and my dorky glasses)

IMG_0830Bowie Blazer from BCBG $74.76 (40% off then another 30% off)

Last shopping post (Black Friday’s), I showed you guys the yellow one– Well, I loved it so much, when  saw the blue one one sale, I had to get this too.  You can still catch it in stores!  I highly recommend this jacket— it’s very simple, very classic and practical.  The best part about this is the fit! From the back it looks almost like a cropped blazer but it has full coverage on the front.

IMG_1718the blazer looks so much darker here.. but the first picture reflects the true hue.

The jacket from Zara and the BCBG one look so similar in these pictures because of the lighting.. but I assure you they are very different.  from the fabric.. cut.. color…lengths.. everything! lol

well, that’s all I got for now~! 🙂

Juelp Haul

After waiting for like a week and a half, my Julep package finally came in!  Previously, i tried out a subscription of the Maven… i wasn’t a big fan of it so I ended up cancelling it, but i still receive Julep’s email blasts… well out of the 1289790 marketing and spam emails i received, one that i did opened turned out to be a pleasant surprise!  it was for their annual sale! a good selection of their nail polishes were 60-70% off! awesome buy!  (if you’re not familiar with Julep, each bottle costs about $14 retail.  Sephora also carries it for no less than $10 a bottle…) i love the quality in Julep and it has great coverage.  i would definitely recommend this over Sephora’s OPI series.

julep nail polishes

i got 9 bottles in total and i thought to go for the colors i don’t already have~

IMG_0817the disco ball set for $19.99 – beautiful assorted colors of glitter, perfect for the holidays and the greens will be great for the spring and summer to come!

IMG_0821Cool Sunshine set $12.99 – the yellow really got me, i’m a huge yellow fan and can’t wait to test it out for the summer!  i’m also really big on nudes, so this combo is perfect!

IMG_0819lastly, the Winter Blues set ($8.00) with a dark blue grey color paired with gold gems and glitters.  what an awesome complementary duo.  i would never pick these 2 colors out and put them together.  i can’t wait to see the results!

My $$plurge at Sephora with a secret 30% off :D

In this economy, everyone seriously have to think twice about how they spend their money.  Being a huge sucker to novelty and pretty shiny things, it doesn’t take much to convince little-o-me to buy unnecessary items especially at Sephora.  So during the crazy hyped up Chic week promotion, I scored BIG time!  The 15% off by itself was already making my heart beat faster.  IF you are also a member of Ebates (the cash back website), you received an ADDITIONAL 8-10% off during the promotional period which made it insufferable not to buy.  ON TOP of if you roll deep with credit like me and registered with Chase Freedom, you get ANOTHER 10% cash back! HOLY MOLY~ that’s 30% off at Sephora right there!  Not a secret anymore since I’m sharing it with the world lol but this was an opportunity I could not refuse!  I was doing my happy dance sitting in my chair while I clicked away on all the items on my wish list~~ 😀 and below is the outcome:

Bare Escentuals/Sephora Exclusive Get Started Kit ($174 Value)/Light $60 $42

  • fabulous deal! 3 full sized brushes, set of foundation shades, and a small primer?!! can’t say no to that!

Clarisonic/Replacement Brush Head Twin-Pack For Acne-Prone $40 $28

  • trying this out~ I realized that sometimes if the Clarisonic brush head is too rough on my face when washing, it can cause acne on my skin— so it need this to be as gentle as possible 🙂

Dior/DiorSkin AirFlash Spray Foundation/Cameo 202 $62 $43.40

  • heard wonderful things about this, so I’m giving it a try, i’m sure I’ll love it 🙂

Lancome/Visionnaire Advanced Skin Corrector/1.7 oz $105 $73.5

  • previously, I shared that I got the Lancome deluxe sample set from Bloomingdales… well, I fell in love with the serum I’ve been trying out 🙂 it absolutely works! Pricey! but the result is astonishing!  I’ve always had uneven skin with a long battle against acne.  Finally, this is letting me relax a little.  It helps to minimize my pores, traps moisture under my skin and definitely evens out my skin– clearing old scars and whitening the dark spots.  Though, I’d try the full sized product especially with 30% off 🙂

Yves Saint Laurent/ROUGE VOLUPTE – Silky Sensual Radiant Lipstick SPF 15/30 Faubourg Peach $34 $23.8

  • love this! I had doubts about this color but it turned out to be the neutral color I was looking for! Makes your lips look nice and full with the summer glow, don’t be afraid just because it looks somewhat orange! I’d say go for it!

Yves Saint Laurent/VOLUPTE – SHEER CANDY Glossy Balm Crystal Color/01 Lush Coconut $30 $21

  • this one glides on completely sheer – no tint, no nothing.  It still makes your lips juicy like with a lip gloss but less shine.  It has golden shimmer which will be very nice for the summer.  Perfect for daily wear 🙂

Hello Kitty Mon Amour Nail Files Set $5 $3.50

  • umm… duh! do I even have to explain?! 😀

Total $336 —–  $235.30!!

it’s going to be a while until the next purchase at Sephora.  ^_^;;;;

week of Make-up and Beauty Haul

Sunday Buy

from Ulta

SUNDAY: So I recently bought these from Ulta.  Beautiful colors.  Especially the OPI one called “I don’t give a Rottendam!”, you can’t really see the glitter in it.. but there is silver glitter encompassed in the peri-winkle blue.  It gives it a light feminine touch to the blue.  The Sally Hasson I actually bought from Target ($6.40), it’s a great combo! gold glitter with small purple gems.  I have on right now the O’rely sand/taupe color with the glitter top coat and it looks AMAZING!

ranging from $8 – $8.50

from Target

So the story goes.. I went to Target to pick up several new colors for the new season.. and this is what I got originally.  But on the way home… I made a sudden turn into Ulta and more money dropped because I was in the zone—- anywho, I took a seperate pic for these b/c I am thinking about returning them…. 8 nailpolishs in one day is a little too much -_-….

@Target ranging from $2.49 to $3.99

Julep Maven Box $0.01

MONDAY: This is a promotion told by a friend.  If you enter “COLOR12” when you sign up for the subscription at Julep.com, the first time is only $0.01.  I gave it a try and it worked! So I received the Kelly (nude) and Emma (light shimmer) nail polish.  A full sized hand scrub and a nail filer.  Like what most people have said already, I don’t think this is really worth $20 dollars a month…. but keep in mind that each Julep pop is retail for $14 bucks!  You might regret it if you don’t sign up for this now.  Because when Sephora launches this line, you’ll never know what the price will be 😛

Body Lotion from Duross and Langel

TUESDAY: My new favorite store in Philly! Duross & Langel! (13th and Sansom) You must visit if you’re in the area! I am in LOVE! with their products!  After my first buy couple months back, I continued to go back to try new things!  I will probably do a review on this store soon, possibly after I try couple more new items 🙂

Almond body lotion – $18

Green tea body lotion – $18

sample soup – Ocean

Maybelline Color Tattoo

WEDNESDAY: Maybelline’s Color Tatto that’s also been getting a lot of hype on beauty blogs.  At first, I was only going to buy like.. 2 for kicks.  But when I saw them at Rite Aid, they were buy one get the 2nd 50% off.  I just decided to buy all the colors I liked lol.  Total was $32.xx with tax.. so that is not bad, comes out to about $5 each 🙂  I’ve tried several colors already and they are wonderful! It’s like a cream liner– it can be a clean cut line or use it as a shadow– tres bien!  I got them in the following colors

  • Audacious Asphalt
  • Edgy Emerald
  • Painted Purple
  • Tough as Taupe
  • Bad to the Bronze
  • Bold Gold

Dior Show Mascara and Lancome liner and lipstick

THURSDAY: Dior Show Mascara (color: Mitzah – Brown) is on sale at Sephora for $14.50.. I had to buy it! Because one alone costs like.. $24.50? and it’s such a great mascara, I wouldn’t mind stocking up  even if it is in brown… I haven’t tried it yet.. If the color is too light, then I”ll just use it for daily wear applying for the natural look, no biggie 🙂

So I saw online that if you make a purchase of $39.50 dollars worth of Lancome Products, you will get a FREE deluxe 7-piece sample set! I JUMPED! on it! haha So I got the Lancome Artier ink eye liner and the new Rouge in Love lipstick line in the color “Corail in love“.  This color has gotten a lot of praise over the net and I knew I can’t go wrong with this.  It is a beautiful color especially for the spring.  It’s a light pink peachy color.  If you have light colored skin, this is perfect! and it’ll add a subtle glow to your complexion.  If you have medium skin like me, no worries, it’ll just be more of a neutral look for you making your lips nice and full.

Haul from Taiwan

Taiwan…. the first thing that comes to mind is FOOD! Seriously, for the 72 hours I was there, the activity that took the most energy was to EAT! Eat, eat, eat, eat~! “Perpetual eating” :O~~~~ but yeah, aside from that, we did minor shopping… we somehow managed to buy like a gazillion things in a span of an hour from a miscellaneous shop called A to C shop? so yea, don’t laugh at what we bought 😛

the 4 to the right are birthday cards! LOL and they’re pop-up! how awesome is that?? I actually didn’t go too crazy here… compared to my friend… 😛 who bought like 10 birthday cards!! LOL our reasoning was that… it’s cheaper than hallmark— why not? :3 haha

the 2 Hello Kitty on the left are just regular travel cards.. one for Hong Kong and one for Kyoto, 2 places I’ve been to 😀 the mini one is so cute! It doesn’t really have a meaning to it other than telling people… “KING KONG IS COMING!!!!” hahaha and when you open it, there’s a mini missile that flies to the building.  It’s so awesome :3

Aren’t they just adorable???? :3 It says Happy birthday in Chinese for the middle one, the balloon are a pull-out.

adorable folders~~ :3  the yellow one says “Imagination is more important than knowledge” in CORRECT proper standard English! lol the one in the middle is a little looney lol “I don’t know, I don’t care, I don’t worry, I don’t cry, I don’t think so” haha I laughed after I read it.  The last one is a collage almost of Disney plush dolls!  It’s like the baby collection or something because all the characters lack detailed features and they look extra cuddly. haha One of the graffiti says “where is pooh?” and you gotta find pooh! hahaha I was so amused at the store

Lastly, assorted Hi-chews! They didn’t carry too many special flavors~ but I don’t think I saw lychee before so I bought that.. Peach has always been my favorite, so got that~ Then pudding flavor!! I was on a shopping spree, I just grabbed and threw it in my basket of STUFF.  Didn’t hesitate at all haha  So yea, they are all delicious in case you’re wondering 🙂

At the airport, to spend the last of my Taiwanese dollars… My friend and I each bought couple Taiwan exclusive Hello Kitty postcards! These are also pop-up (there’s another flap on the back and there’s an additional hello kitty figure on the address side)  So yeah, almost missed my flight buying these lol note to self, when there’s a Hello Kitty souvenir shop? Be careful of how fast time flies especially when you have a plane to catch lol

Finally, to sum up my trip to Kenting, Taiwan? and also to share the food part of the trip— Here’s a video of our journey, enjoy 🙂

Lots of foooooddd 🙂

HK haul begins

So I’m going to start blogging my “winnings” from HK before the list gets too overwhelming 😛

Stopped by the ubiquitous and lovable Sasa, the Hong Kong equivalent of Sephora in the states.  Honestly though, I like this place more than Sephora 😛 because it’s so diverse!  You can get products from all over the world! Also, they have a bigger range in prices.  For example…..

Nail polish – HKD $40 for 2

gel eyeliner – HKD $38

It’s a beautiful deep purple, great for many occasions.  This is actually the 2nd time I’ve purchased this.  The first time was… 2008? lol 😛 yea it lasted for a while.  Also, I’m actually wearing the lilac nail polish I got from Sasa too.  I love it 🙂 One layer does the trick, 2 layers seals the deal.  It has a nice shiny finish to it.  Not bad for USD $3 bucks right?

Next… let’s do shoes!

Boat shoes – $120 HKD  I’m still debating whether it’s made out of leather or not, cause the upper looks like it… and feels like it…. It has a rubber sole too.  Such a steal.

Black peep toe wedge – $140 HKD got these for fun 😛 they’re definitely more of the city nightlife feel haha very comfy and for that price (USD $20)?? simply cannot resist

They gave me a pair of socks as a gift too! :3  I guess I can use these with my boat shoes now haha don’t want to have stinky feet now especially in such a humid setting.

ok last item for noooww

Boot holder – $45 HKD I first discovered these in Japan.  A fabulous and simple invention.  Really it’s just a stick to hold up your tall boots LOL silly but totally necessary because you know how your leather boots flap down when you take them off and put them on the rack.  This way, it keeps the boot nice and tall so it doesn’t ruin the leather and increase unwanted creases and marks on your precious boot! I intend on buying more of these.  They are too awesome.  Boots will be rolling out from the closet as winter comes closer 😛

more to come! I’m sure I’ll be buying more lol

mini haul video

This blog is called food2wear but you can’t exactly wear food…. so here is the wear part! Clothes!

So this is a my first video blog.  Hopefully, I explained everything well enough so you can understand.  This is mostly an experiment video with me playing around with iMovie 🙂 The clip is brief showing my recent buys.  Just a side note, I did recorded it twice n pieced them together so I could use some effects and what not haha

Things I mentioned: Harajuku fragrances, Aldo, yesstyle.com, Chanel’s “Rouge Coco Shine”
