Juelp Haul

After waiting for like a week and a half, my Julep package finally came in!  Previously, i tried out a subscription of the Maven… i wasn’t a big fan of it so I ended up cancelling it, but i still receive Julep’s email blasts… well out of the 1289790 marketing and spam emails i received, one that i did opened turned out to be a pleasant surprise!  it was for their annual sale! a good selection of their nail polishes were 60-70% off! awesome buy!  (if you’re not familiar with Julep, each bottle costs about $14 retail.  Sephora also carries it for no less than $10 a bottle…) i love the quality in Julep and it has great coverage.  i would definitely recommend this over Sephora’s OPI series.

julep nail polishes

i got 9 bottles in total and i thought to go for the colors i don’t already have~

IMG_0817the disco ball set for $19.99 – beautiful assorted colors of glitter, perfect for the holidays and the greens will be great for the spring and summer to come!

IMG_0821Cool Sunshine set $12.99 – the yellow really got me, i’m a huge yellow fan and can’t wait to test it out for the summer!  i’m also really big on nudes, so this combo is perfect!

IMG_0819lastly, the Winter Blues set ($8.00) with a dark blue grey color paired with gold gems and glitters.  what an awesome complementary duo.  i would never pick these 2 colors out and put them together.  i can’t wait to see the results!

black friday haul

spent way too much this year… just like every other year lol this year i splurged big time at BCBG!  they had an amazing buy 3 pieces get 50% off your whole purchase!

IMG_0805imagethe thing i love about this shirt is that it has a tail.  i’ve never tried this on at stores and thought the draping at the front is created by tugging the shirt in.  in actuality, you don’t need to!  the drape is designed by connecting the fabric from shoulder to shoulder and twist in the middle to create those silhouette.  so it can just fall right down effortlessly.

IMG_0807

the sweater fits a little funky o-o so i gotta play with that a little more… the skirt i LOVE i think it can be worn all year round.   this is my first time seeing rose gold and i’m pretty excited about this.

IMG_0808

Asymmetric silk drape shirt is from Anthropologies.  what a ridiculous buy, the original retail price was valued at $118, but on sale? $7.46!!!!  the jacket as well (from bcbg), final sale price was $49! IMG_0810

I’ve been eye-ing this blazer since the summer since i’ve always wanted a tux jacket.  this one is longer and it coems down to mid thigh.  the bracelet is actually a belt lol see below for a closer look:IMG_0811

I still have the wrapping on it ^^;; it is so securely taped i don’t want to touch it yet.  i also don’t want the buckle to get scratched up already before i use it.

so yes a ridiculous and expensive purchase but i doubt i’ll see these items at this price again… i’ll list the prices below:

  • Power Skirt $49
  • drape shirt $79
  • sweater $51
  • foil skirt $49
  • yellow blazer $49
  • White blazer $124
  • belt $39

where to buy cheap trendy shoes…. Amazon?!?

Ever since I bought a pair of Lucky Brand leather over-the-knee boots from Amazon, I’ve been watchful.  You can’t tell me a pair of full-on leather boots, BRAND NEW, wrapped in box and quality guaranteed for $71.35 is not a good deal! SoooOOooo since then, once in a while, I would go on Amazon and see what goods they got.  Or if there’s a pair of shoes I have my eyes on, Amazon is usually the first site i check.  Now, let’s be realistic, I’m not saying Amazon has the brands we all love.. Dior, Chanel, YSL….. NONE of that! (actually they might, but do you trust the authenticity? o-O)  However! They do have more of the down-to-earth brands that are more physically reachable.  For example, Lucky Brand, Seychelles, Sam Edelman, Vince Camuto….

Exhibit A:  Vince Camuto

Simple black peep toes, you say? ( X )!!!!  See below for Exhibit B:

These lovelies were retailed for $129.  I don’t know how Amazon does it… but they were selling them for $66.67 when I bought these! Hands down~ the cheapest across the board, internet or not.  That is approximately 50% of the original price! I was like :OOOOO *click click click* buy please! (if you’re interested, you might still be able to catch the deal on amazon 🙂  The lowest price it dropped to was $58 for these.

So now that I know Amazon carries shoes I like, it has become my new best friend.  If only there’s a shop bot to tell me the buy price I was waiting for and a ticker to remind me to buy like what they do with the stock market, that would be a dream come true.

In case you have doubts, Amazon does offer free shipping and free return on these items.  So you can return if you decide a pair is not right for you.  Amazon does offer second chances which is perfect for those indecisive fellows like myself.

Anywho, I hope I opened up a new door for you and thanks for listening to my tired rambling.  Hope to share more sale secrets soon!

P.S. the leave arm cuff is from H&M for $6.95 in case you were wondering ^_^” It really has nothing to do with the shoes other than the fact that I thought it might look cool. lol

Semi-Annual Sale at Zara!

i LOVE! Zara! and last night at 9:42pm, I received an email saying the sale starts at 12am today! Holy crap, I jumped on it! Check it out if you have time, they got a great selection at a fabulous price.  I am loving this shopping experience at Zara.com.  One, you don’t have to dig through a messy pile.  Two,  you don’t have to rummage through just to find your size.  Plus, you get to avoid the sea of people hoping to find the same thing you are looking for!  Zara.com/shop is absolutely amazing since it has debuted on the internet and especially for the US audience.  I would give it a try.  Also, shipping is free! No minimum purchase necessary.  🙂

I can tell you one thing I’m really looking forward to are these pants!  I’ve been eye-ing them for a while now since the fall… so hopefully they fit alright 🙂  They would definitely be a great addition to the fall wordrobe.

Happy shopping!! 🙂
